Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Technology

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Technology with options in Alternative Energy, Manufacturing Technology, and Technology Management and certificates in Alternative Energy, Manufacturing Technology and Technology Management are available to students through a combination of seated, blended, online and laboratory courses. These programs are offered through a partnership between the South Central Career Center and Missouri State University–West Plains.

Advanced Industrial Maintenance

The Associate of Applied Science in Technology – Advanced Industrial Maintenance is designed to prepare students for a career in industrial maintenance. The time to complete the degree will vary, depending on remediation, summer enrollment, number of classes taken per semester, etc.

Advanced Fabrication Technology

Course is designed to instruct welders in arc welding safety, print reading, and all of the common welding processes. Students will have the opportunity to earn 9 NC3 Lincoln Electric Welding Certifications by the end of the program. The program last 32 weeks and involves more than 700 hours of hands-on instruction. PPE gear ready-pak included and provided on the first day of class.

Alternative Energy Certificate

The certificate in Alternative Energy includes a unique combination of electricity, electronics, biofuels, solar and wind energy courses to provide practical knowledge and experience in the alternative energy field. While the Certificate in Alternative Energy may be completed as a stand-alone certificate program, courses in this certificate may also be used to complete the AAS in Technology-Alternative Energy.

Advanced Manufacturing Technology Certificate

This certificate provides broad introduction to manufacturing technology. This certificate is appropriate for students interested in improving job skills and opportunities in manufacturing and technical fields. This certificate may be completed as a stand-alone certificate program or courses in this certificate may also be used to complete the AAS in Technology-Manufacturing.

This certificate provides broad exposure in the field of technology management, including supply chain management, quality, safety and project management, as well as supervision. This certificate is appropriate for students interested in improving job skills and opportunities in manufacturing and technical fields. This certificate may be completed as a stand-alone certificate program or courses in this certificate may also be used to complete the AAS in Technology-Technology Management or the AAS in Business-Technology Management.
